Crews Train on Acquired Structure

Yesterday evening, LVFD members participated in a third training session on a structure acquired by Manchester VFD. Manchester and Hampstead crews worked alongside Lineboro focusing on RIT operations.
RIT stands for rapid intervention team and their sole purpose on an incident is to rescue downed firefighters along with removing hazards that pose threats to rescuers.
This Sunday, crews from all three departments will conclude training with a controlled burn. Training opportunities are always appreciated; if anyone is interested in donating a structure or vehicle, please contact the department.
