Lineboro Volunteers Needs the Community's Help to Stay Safe
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By EMS Captain Matthew Burgan
March 30, 2020

For over 100 years the members of the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department have helping to keep the community safe. Now, the members of the Department are asking for the community's help to keep it's members safe.

Everyone is working hard to navigate the crisis of the Coronavirus response. All aspects of healthcare have been hit particularly hard during this pandemic, and everyone is struggling to find the necessary personal protective equipment in order to keep their healthcare workers safe. Unfortunately, Lineboro Volunteers have not been exempt from this shortage. Our EMTs, Paramedics, and Firefighters, are out working on the front lines of this response, and are in desperate need of this vital personal protective equipment. Although there is currently a minimal supply available for our members, it is expected to be exhausted soon. Typical supply chains have been greatly interrupted, and the Department is unable to get equipment from them at this time. Further compounding the issue is the minimal supply being provided through the Strategic National Stockpile, which is also proving to be in short supply and high demand.

If you have any face masks, N-95 respirators, gowns, eye protection, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, or other cleaners, and if you are willing to donate them to the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department, the members, their families, and their patients will be incredibly grateful for your kindness. To arrange a donation, you can contact Matt Burgan, Captain of EMS Operations, at 410-365-2610, or EMS Lieutenant Nathan Saurusaitis at 443-487-7614. Your donations are tax exempt, and we will arrange to pick the items up from you if you'd like.

The Department would like to thank the members of the community in advance for your kindness, generosity, and understanding during these incredibly unprecedented times.
