By Administrator Brian Long
March 29, 2020

Shortly after 2 am on the morning of March 27th, Lineboro VFD and surrounding companies responded just outside of town to the 5000 block of Lineboro Road for the reported barn fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a barn fully involved and began working to control the fire. At approximately 230 am, crews observed another barn on fire at the adjacent farm on Lineboro Road. Crews were able to save all livestock from the barn and began working on extinguishing the fire. Lineboro VFD was assisted by over 12 York County departments , 1 Adams County department, 4 Carroll County departments and 2 Baltimore County departments. Upperco VFD filled in station 7 while units operated. The fires are under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal to determine the cause.

We would like to thank all our surrounding fire departments and the many community members that came out to assist while we operated on two barn fires that effected members of our department greatly.
