BEDLAM IN THE BORO 2020 CANCELLED

The Hayride Committee, officers, and members of the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department regret to inform you that our annual Bedlam in the Boro fundraiser will be cancelled in its entirety for the 2020 season. The original plan to open in modified capacity has been rescinded. After further discussion and planning amongst the hayride committee, we do not have the proper resources to host this event in good faith during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

2020 would have been our 26th year hosting this fundraiser. We understand that our community and neighbors look forward to this event every year, as it has become a tradition for your families and our members alike. This fundraiser takes several months and significant manpower to prepare prior to opening in October. Our committee and members had to significantly delay preparations due to the amount of unknowns regarding proper permits, licensure, and government relief funding. With the information and updates we have received in recent days, the decision to close for the 2020 season is the best option for the health and safety of our community.

Please consider supporting our ongoing smaller scale fundraisers. Our department is working tirelessly to find new, acceptable ways to fundraise in these trying times. We are incredibly grateful for the support and donations we have received from our community thus far.

Above all, Lineboro VFD has been and will continue to be ready to respond to emergency incidents when needed. Over many years, our loyal, supportive community and neighbors have placed us in a position where there will be no shortfalls in providing emergency fire and EMS services.

Although we are saddened to share this news with you, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may have caused you and your families, but we hope that you will join us in October 2021!
