On Wednesday April 19th at 4:31PM, Station 7 was alerted for a reported brush fire in the area of Grave Run Road and Roller Road. Engine 71, Brush 76, and Tanker 7 initially responded and arrived to find a brush fire that was rapidly spreading uphill into a densely wooded area. Additional units from Carroll, Baltimore, Frederick, and York County Pennsylvania were requested to assist. Additional assistance was provided by the Maryland State Police - Aviation Command and the Carroll County Sheriff's Office - Maryland with getting an aerial view of the large fire. LVFD responded with every in service piece of apparatus and a total of 25 personnel. Units remained on scene for over 6 hours.
